We are all very visual by nature. This is why you cannot just mail it in when picking out images for your site  and social channels.

When designing / building your site, creating posts and pushing out updates with social channels aligning the images up properly and deliberately is key. There are a couple of ways to do this. You can use high quality images taken by yourself or a professional or use a royalty free stock image service. My favorite is a service called 123rf when looking for stock photos. They have great images and allow you to buy a wide range of sizes with pre-purchased credits at a very reasonable cost.  There are a number of other sites out there that also do a great job like Shutterstock and istockphoto.

Don’t be cliche with your image selection. We all know that a picture is worth a 1000 words, another cliche, but find the image that connects you with your audience and the message you are trying to convey.  Also getting some help from your designer can help be sure you within our websites visual eco-system.

And have a little fun with it.
